Each year, our team empowers children and families in Kansas, Missouri, and beyond through three key service areas:



  • Youth & Family Support - We help youth gain independence through social and living support programs while empowering families with the skills and resources they need to become resilient and successful.
  • Foster Care & Adoption - We reunify and unite families while recruiting and providing support to foster parents and youth in foster care.
  • Education & Community Trainings - We help students achieve academic success while giving educators the tools to create safe learning environments to improve their students' behaviors and offer innovative learning opportunities to build and improve knowledge in the community.


We are seeking a Director of Child Placing Agency to join our team. You will be responsible for all operations of Cornerstones of Care Kansas CPA. You will be responsible for a high-level strategic vision and day-to-day activities around the recruitment, licensing, and retention of licensed homes and home study processes related to Interstate Compact placement of youth into Kansas. You will supervise all activities and staff under this program and service compliance with Department for Children and Families policies and procedures as well as accreditation standards. You will provide direct service delivery, relationship building in diverse communities as well as overall management of services to out of home placement providers aimed at achieving stability, safety and well-being for children are necessary.

As a member of the Kansas Foster Care, you will work with other team members and report to our Deputy Director of Kansas Permanency Services.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:



  • Implement services to develop and maintain a diverse pool of safe, skilled and supported alternative care providers which meet the needs of the local child welfare system(s)
  • Work closely with other Directors to ensure seamless delivery of services to alternative care providers
  • Serve as on-going liaison between Cornerstones of Care, Division of Children and Families (DCF), subcontractors, and community partners as needed
  • Monitor outcomes and conduct utilization reviews of the program
  • Convene regular subcontractor meetings to address compliance, best practice, policy updates, and innovative ideas to provide services and support for families


WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Our ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of paid work experience in the child welfare area (three of which should be in a supervisory or leadership position) and the following:



  • Master's degree in social work or other related field
  • At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical and drug screening
  • A valid driver's license, proof of current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation


Starting Salary: $70,000 - $79,000 (Annually)
