The Department of Taxes' Compliance Division seeks a talented individual who wants to support public programs through the accurate and equitable collection of Vermont taxes. Duties are performed in a standard office setting. Workload pressure may vary over time. Some routine data entry may be required in certain positions or for certain periods. Incumbents must be able to concentrate on details and perform accurate work in the face of frequent interruptions. Human relations skills may be needed to deal with the general public. There is regular pressure from continual work deadlines. Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years or more of experience in accounting, auditing, or tax processing related duties. OR Associate's degree or higher AND one (1) year or more of experience in accounting, auditing, or tax processing related duties. OR One (1) year or more as a Tax Examiner I. OR Licensure as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Total Compensation
