Description

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing office management, financial performance, project execution, safety compliance, procurement, logistics, service delivery, and overall operational efficiency. This role provides leadership and direction to various departments, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, strong financial performance, and exceptional customer service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Operations & Strategic Management



  • Oversee procurement, logistics, and service delivery.
  • Develop and execute strategic operational plans aligning with business objectives.
  • Streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and implement employee development programs.
  • Supervise direct reports, including the Project Manager, Runners, and Purchasing team.
  • Act as an ERP system expert, ensuring optimal system utilization (Service Titan).
  • Address and resolve customer service issues.


  • Supervise Project Managers and Estimators for efficient project execution.
  • Oversee monthly billing, change orders, and project backlog.
  • Review estimates, proposals, and manage financials.
  • Lead weekly job meetings and manage scheduling.
  • Maintain job costing and financial reporting.
  • Track revenue, costs, and profitability.


  • Manage expenses for vehicles, tools, inventory, and uniforms.
  • Ensure accurate service invoicing and financial oversight.
  • Support dispatchers with parts coordination and follow-ups.



Fleet & Procurement Management



  • Plan and coordinate fleet repairs and services.
  • Oversee vehicle purchasing and fleet planning.
  • Work with the purchasing team to optimize procurement.
  • Manage warehouse utilization and confirm product hand-offs.
  • Source competitive pricing on inventory items.



HR & Administrative Liaison



  • Assist HR with hiring and staffing needs.
  • Conduct payroll reviews for accuracy and compliance.
  • Partner with Safety team to ensure compliance



Qualifications & Skills:



  • 5-7 years of proven experience in operations, office, or project management, preferably in the HVAC or construction industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams and priorities.
  • Excellent financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Service Titan) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time 40-hour position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Travel: Position location will be split between Cranston, RI and Fall River, MA offices (60%/40%)
