Temporary Disclosure

As a temporary employee, you will not be eligible to participate in all employee benefit programs (e.g., paid leave, retirement, or tuition reimbursement).

Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), a temporary employee who works on average 30 hours or more per week may be eligible to enroll in health care benefits. As a temporary employee, you are also eligible to enroll in supplemental plans (e.g. dental, vision,) which requires full payment on your part.

Job Summary

The Temporary Office Associate provides operational support to the Parking & Transportation department. This is a temporary, assignment-based position in which placement within a functional unit is determined by departmental operational needs at the time of hire.

This role is designed to support the department's day-to-day operations and is not limited to traditional administrative or clerical duties. Depending on assignment, responsibilities may include operational coordination, logistical support, service delivery, compliance-related tasks, system support, or hands-on assistance in active environments.

Duties will align exclusively with the assigned operational function and may vary between temporary appointments based on departmental priorities.

Duties include:

  • Support the daily operations of the assigned unit.
  • Perform responsibilities specific to the operational function to which the employee is assigned.
  • Assist with coordination, logistics, compliance processes, service delivery, or technical support activities as applicable.
  • Provide support in office-based, operational, or active field environments depending on assignment.
  • Maintain accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in all assigned tasks.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and operational demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by administration which logically align with position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental needs.
  • Performs other essential duties in any University emergency such as hurricane or any other University emergency
    closing
