Description
The Real Estate Specialist will assist with the oversight and administration of the Company's real estate portfolio, including but not limited to the administration of land contracts and processing systems to maximize efficiency and profitability while providing real estate support to railroad operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assist with the maintenance of real estate management database containing information regarding active agreements and account status * Maintain records of all correspondence and agreement versions * Digitize all pertinent real estate documents * Assist in reconfiguration of SharePoint site as it pertains to real estate * Assist with ERP Implementation as it pertains to real estate * Assist Real Estate Manager(s) throughout permitting lifecycle * Reviews and processes real estate documents in conjunction with Legal * Define, update and maintain real estate Standard of Procedures * Work with Accounts Receivable Department to resolve all outstanding AR issues involving real estate contracts * Other duties and special projects as assigned from Supervisor EDUCATIONAL AND JOB REQUIREMENTS: * 1-2 years real estate background and land management experience, concentration in right-of-way or corridor management preferred * Knowledge of real estate contracts, leases, licenses, and title issues * Developed working abilities with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP * Negotiation skills, basic accounting, and finance knowledge * Good organization skills and attention to detail * Good written and verbal communication skills * Ability to function and complete assignments in a multi-tasking environment is essential * High School Diploma required * Valid Driver's License PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, handle objects, reach with hands and arms, write, talk, type and hear. Associate is occasionally required to sit, stoop, bend and/or kneel and lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.
