We are looking for an Environmental Manager to Manage a company-wide environmental compliance program. Reduce Company environmental risk and position the company as a good neighbor and environmentally conscious community member. Region Locations: Bismarck, Minot, or Williston, North Dakota College Station or Waco, Texas Sioux Falls, South Dakota Sioux City, Iowa Sauk Rapids, Minnesota Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Environmental Management or related field.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in management of environmental programs for industry, a regulatory government agency, similar organization, or significant industry experience with strong environmental focus.
- Experience writing environmental and scientific reports.
- Experience speaking in a public setting.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in environmental programs for general industry.
- Experience in government regulatory agency.
Duties and/or responsibilities:
- Overall management of Company environmental and land use permitting and compliance.
- Ensure EPA, State, and local environmental regulatory compliance.
- Work with operations team to design and implement mine plans that maximize total value of resource while protecting the environment.
- Provide leadership, training and inspections of Company operations to assure our compliance with all environmental regulations.
- Establish good public relations in an ongoing effort to build and maintain a "good neighbor" rapport with both the public and local government units regarding all operations.
- Manage Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure program.
- Keep abreast of current and changing State/EPA regulations impacting Company operations.
- Implement annual training which teaches regulations, compliance practices, company policy and common-sense approaches to environmental protection.
- Work closely with team members to create appropriate operational plans in support of land use permit requests.
- Prepare for and participate in public hearings regarding requests for land use with local governments or decision-making bodies.
- Sign all land use permit applications on behalf of the company.
- Responsible for the management of Company properties owned and leased.
- Maintain properties within the Company's Managing Aggregate Resources System (MARS).
- Participate in due diligence activities for new properties, owned and leased.
- Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Timely and regular attendance is essential.

- Excellent interpersonal, management, and strategic organization skills. Able to work productively with a wide variety of personnel in other roles including management, supervisory, operational, financial, and other technical and administrative staff. Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with regulatory agencies.
- Ability to adapt and respond to difficult questions and issues.
- Ability to use tact and professionalism including in times of extreme stress.
- Excellent computer, verbal and written communication skills, as well as public speaking/presentations.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to travel to operating divisions within North Dakota and eastern Montana on an intermittent basis to connect with field operations, managers.
