Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Regional Procurement Contracts Manager to join our Procurement department based in Herndon, VA. This will be a hybrid position where you will be expected to be in the office a minimum of three days each week.

Reporting to the Head of Regional Procurement Contracts, the Regional Procurement Contracts Manager shapesthe regional Procurement contract landscape, delivering specialist contract negotiation support to the local Airbus Americas Procurement teams, delivering best-in-class contractual expertise, guidance, standards, policies andnegotiation support to the Regional Procurement Office North America, thus enabling the NA Region to grow and operate in a compliant and efficient contractual environment. The Regional Procurement Contracts Managerinterfaces with multiple Procurement teams, as well as with legal and other interfacing functions, contributing to the growth and local empowerment of the extended Procurement Team in the Region.

• Solid contract expertise required

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in contracts management, ideally in the Procurement field; preferably in the aviation industry

• This position will require to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 25% of the year.

• Project Management experience is not required, but highly desired

• Team working mentality with a high level of autonomous responsibility

• You have a strong desire to adapt to different cultures within the organization, and interface and network with different types of partners, all over the world.

• Negotiation skills are a must and you thrive in those situations.

• This position needs someone who can work fast, be an excellent partner, and handle expectations; always putting the customer first.

• Having a solid understanding of business is important in this role; back and forth communication, constantly setting priorities. Collaboration is paramount, even though you will work with a large amount of autonomy.
