This position is $15/hour, full-time, first shift, and onsite at the corporate Saint Paul, MN location and offers exposure to the strategic and operational aspects of HR, preparing interns for future careers in the field! The position assignment would begin May 27th, 2025 and end on August 29th, 2025.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resources operations. Focus includes recruiting, onboarding, HRIS data, policy implementation, benefits and payroll support.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains employee records in the HRIS database and paper files.
  • Processes new hire, change, and termination paperwork.
  • Performs customer service functions by responding to employee requests and questions.
  • Provides administrative support such as filing worker's compensation claims, scheduling drug tests, posting jobs, creating leave of absence letters, offer letters, and other correspondence.
  • Assists with recruitment and interview process.
  • Conducts new employee orientation as needed.
  • Assist with the Company picnic in August 2025.
  • Assists with other HR duties as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Pursuing a college degree in related field strongly preferred or equivalent experience. In addition:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Effectively manage and communicate information across a network of companies.
  • Partner with managers with a customer service orientation.
  • Professional demeanor and character, proactive and able to take initiative.
  • Prioritize and complete tasks as a team player while delivering results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and persuade decision makers.
  • Optimize delivery of all services with continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio).
  • Superb consulting, and critical thinking skills.
