How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? "The Corporate Accounting & Financial Reporting organization consists of 7 full time associates. The main responsibilities include:
- Produce, maintain, develop Airgas Financial records, in full compliance with local regulation, Airgas and Air Liquide referentials.
- Assure the financial Control of Airgas business transactions to limit misstatements and fraud risks.
- Prepare consolidated external financial statements in compliance with IFRS

The organization acts as a liaison to all subsidiaries on accounting matters involving the Corporate Business Unit and will consult with relevant stakeholders including the Senior Manager - Corporate Accounting, Corporate Controller, Director, Financial Control, external and internal auditors, business unit management, tax, treasury, corporate development, and legal. The team will also assists the Corporate Financial Reporting team with certain reporting requirements to the Paris Head Office."

- Contribute to the corporate accounting close process and own key corporate accounting areas such as cash, accruals, prepaid expenses, and intercompany accounting.
- Preparation and review of periodic reconciliations and analysis for corporate general ledger and intercompany accounts.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations and journal entries
- Subject matter expert for accounting for Property Plant and Equipment; including managing Investment Management/Project Systems module in SAP for the Corporate Business Unit and reporting to the Paris Head Office.
- Own certain key accounting areas, including coordinating with business units on these areas and implementing process improvements where possible.
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of financial reporting packages to global corporate headquarters
- Develop and direct the preparation and communication of ad hoc accounting reports and analysis for executive management.
- Interact with external auditors to ensure the Corporate Business Unit's audit compliance and complete data requests, as needed.
- Participate in projects related to finance transformation initiatives.
- Perform ad hoc tasks as required.

Education
- Four year accounting degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum five years of progressively responsible accounting experience
- Active accounting certification (CPA/ACCA) is a plus
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a plus

Soft and Hard Skills

Must have:

English fluency is Must have
- Proven track record of success in prior business roles
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of IFRS
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Able to operate at a detailed level without losing sight of the big picture
- Action oriented; thrives in a dynamic environment; willing to take the initiative when the opportunity presents itself
- Detail Oriented and an analytical thinker
- Flexible/team player; comfortable changing directions mid-stream; understands the importance of achieving team objectives
- Ability to actively lead and participate in special projects as directed
Nice to have:
- Google Suite platform experience a plus
- SAP, BW & BPC experience a plus
- ERP or other general ledger computer system knowledge preferred, but not required
- Strong organizational and project management skills; demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization
