About the Job

We are seeking a Lead Data Scientist to spearhead the analysis and interpretation of large datasets, uncovering insights that inform business decisions and drive growth. As a leader, you will manage junior data scientists, provide actionable insights to stakeholders, and develop and maintain statistical models using open-source coding languages like R and Python. You will also extract trends from customer databases, conduct multi-channel analysis, and craft compelling presentations to various levels of management. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your expertise in advanced quantitative methods to drive business strategies and maximize ROI.

A Day in the Life

  • Provide actionable business and marketing insights to stakeholders through data analysis, research, and modeling, integrating internal and external data sources.
  • Develop and apply advanced quantitative methods, including statistical modeling, machine learning, and segmentation techniques, to drive customer understanding and business growth.
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex statistical models using open-source coding languages like R or Python, and apply these models to extract trends and insights from large datasets.
  • Communicate complex analytical concepts and findings to various audiences through clear and effective presentations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business strategies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior data scientists, providing guidance on workflow, analytical techniques, and project delivery, while driving business growth through data-driven insights.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science), with a Master's degree preferred, and 5+ years of experience in open-source programming, applied statistics, and machine learning.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, statistical and machine learning techniques, and data visualization platforms such as Tableau and PowerBI, with the ability to integrate data scientific modeling.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex data and take initiative to drive projects forward.
  • Project and team management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and manage stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborative mindset, with a strong interest in marketing, advertising, and the healthcare industry.

Salary
$110,000.00 - $145,000.00
The salary range for this position is noted within this job posting. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
