Purpose:

Members of the Student Conduct team in the Office of the Dean of Students play a pivotal role in supporting the university's mission to transform lives. The Assistant Director of Student Conduct and Academic Integrity will administer the student conduct process for academic, non-academic, and student organization matters, with a strong emphasis on student development. This role involves investigating and resolving complaints, consulting with students, faculty, and community members, and serving as a resource on student conduct matters. By collaborating closely with departmental and campus partners, this position helps create a holistic approach to student development through the conduct process, aligning with the guiding principles of being student-focused, fostering collaborative innovation, and empowering ownership. This role is integral to the office's vision of fostering a transformative campus experience. Through their work, this position contributes to a supportive environment where all students can thrive and succeed.

Responsibilities:

  • Administers the student conduct process for academic, non-academic, and student organization matters, including the investigation and resolution of complaints with emphasis on student development.

  • Meets with students, faculty, legal affairs, campus colleagues, community members and others, as appropriate, for consultation, education, and problem solving. Serves as a resource on student conduct matters at the institution.

  • Engages in regular data analytics review to guide assessment efforts, case management, programmatic development, and campus stakeholder engagement.

  • Assist with the development and presentation of educational programming and presentations.

  • Assists with outreach and marketing initiatives including matters ranging from annual reports, assessment plans, website content, publications and launching new initiatives.

  • Supports unit leadership in their work with the case management database, Maxient, including customization, system process updates, and implementation of campus partner units' utilization of the software.

  • Assists or leads special assignments within the office and the Office of the Dean of Students, including committee appointments.

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in student affairs administration, educational policy, or related field and 5 or more years of experience in student conduct, higher education administration, or academic discipline. Communication-listening focus; ability to acquire information/ideas from others; collaborative, shares resources based on business needs with other functional managers; factor functional concerns/needs into strategy; incorporate long term strategic direction/goals into business model; delegates responsibility for overseeing functional tasks to direct reports and engages others in learning.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications:

High level of skill in communication with a listening focus; demonstrated ability to acquire information/ideas from others; demonstrated collaborative style with ability to share resources based on business needs with other functional managers; ability to factor functional concerns/needs into strategy; ability to incorporate long term strategic direction/goals into business model; demonstrated ability to delegate responsibility for overseeing functional tasks to direct reports and to engage others in learning.

Salary:

$73,000
