Project Engineer Location: Wasilla, AK Employment Class: Full Time Regular FLSA Classification: Exempt - Salaried Position Summary: Potawatomi Defense Operations, LLC is seeking a qualified Project Engineer who will support the project management team in the planning, coordination, and execution of a small commercial and/or institutional design/build project or to support the project management process for larger projects. The role involves assisting in project scheduling, cost control, quality assurance, documentation, and communication among project stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards. The Project Engineer position will be expected to gain an understanding of process management and the ability and agility to perform work that is contracted through a variety of delivery methods that include: indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ), Lump-Sum Contracting, Design/Build and Fast Track contracts. The Project Engineer accomplishes work primarily by means of subcontractors; however the Project Engineer has the capability of managing self-performed construction activities that benefit the project. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Project Support: Design and Technical Assistance: Quality Control: Communication and Collaboration: Cost Management: Safety and Compliance: Education & Experience Requirements: *Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field with two (2) to three (3) years of experience and/or industrial or general contractor; OR five (5)+ years of directly related experience with no degree. Certification Requirements: *Current safety credentials to include OSHA 30, First Aid and CPR Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements: * A basic to good understanding of construction means and methods associated with the renovation of commercial and institutional buildings and site work related thereto; Other Requirements: *Willingness to travel and visit job sites as required.
