We are excited to add a Senior Paralegal to our Legal team! The position will pay between $116,000 - $154,000 base plus bonus based on previous relevant experience and educational credentials.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Supports the delivery of quality legal services to internal clients by performing legal tasks that require the regular exercise of judgment and significant substantive knowledge.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Analyzes complex legal issues and provides advice and assistance to business leaders under the general supervision of attorneys.
  • Drafts and negotiates agreements, including distributor agreements, sales agency agreements, supply agreements, non-disclosure agreements, tissue procurement agreements, licenses/intellectual property agreements, clinical trial agreements and other business contracts
  • Proactively identifies legal issues and anticipates the support needs of the Company's attorneys.
  • Advises on regulatory and compliance matters as needed
  • Manage and interface with outside counsel on various matters requiring specialized expertise
  • Research legal issues, draft legal documents, and assist with governance matters
  • Support the continuous development and improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes



EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:



  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university
  • 10+ years' experience in corporate legal department
  • Paralegal Certification required



SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:



  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to create and maintain databases, spreadsheets and reporting systems
  • Proven ability to learn software quickly
  • Strong analytical skills, synthesizes complex and diverse information; Collects and researches data
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, a must
  • Strong project management skills and experience conducting simultaneous projects in a fast-paced, matrixed-global environment
  • Ability to adapt to changes, delays, or unexpected shifts in priorities while maintaining focus and productivity in a high-volume environment
  • Demonstrates high attention to detail
  • Values and demonstrates strong customer service skills to both internal and external clients
