Portfolio Risk Officer (Hybrid - Columbia, SC)

The Portfolio Risk Officer monitors, analyzes, and reports credit risk within the Bank's Lending portfolios. The Officer prepares portfolio risk reporting, analysis, and presentations for AgFirst Management, the Board of Directors, and the Farm Credit Administration (FCA). Supports coordinating, calculating, and analyzing the Bank's quarterly Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL) processes. The role supports AgFirst's credit stress testing models, methods, and procedures. The Officer continuously evaluates the Bank's reporting and portfolio risk management function and participates in efforts to strengthen best practices and explore efficiencies. The Portfolio Risk Officer represents the AgFirst District on designated Farm Credit System initiatives. Provides leadership and support for Bank projects and initiatives.

What you'll do

- Prepares portfolio risk reporting, analysis, and presentations for AgFirst Management, the Board of Directors, and the Farm Credit Administration (FCA).

- Supports coordinating, calculating, and analyzing the Bank's quarterly Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL) processes.

- Supports AgFirst's credit stress testing models, processes, and procedures.

- Continuously evaluates the Bank's reporting and portfolio risk management function and participates in efforts to strengthen best practices and explore efficiencies.

- Represents the AgFirst District on designated Farm Credit System initiatives.

- Provides leadership and support for Bank projects and initiatives.

What you'll need

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.

- Minimum of 5 years of banking experience involving lending, accounting, financial reporting, or loan systems.

- It requires strong technical skills, including Microsoft, business intelligence, and programming platforms.

- The ability to work independently with little supervision is essential. May lead projects for the department.

- Understands trends impacting the business.

- Possess the ability to effectively work with Bank Managers and other Bank Employees in a team environment to achieve Bank goals.

- Possesses strong written and verbal skills, including the ability to interpret regulatory statutes and regulations. Experienced in writing policies and procedures.
