Title: Director, Global Reliability - Chemicals

Focus: The Director, Global Reliability - Chemicals is a new position that will have responsibility to develop, adapt and lead the Global Reliability strategy that is aligned to the overall business strategy for the Chemicals division. This role is responsible for driving an efficient reliability strategy across all manufacturing plants that will deliver on the asset and operational reliability required by the business at the lowest short-term cost, minimizing the long-term cost of ownership, reducing unplanned events and improving the process and personal safety performance of the production units.

This role leads a group of specialists while at the same time gives functional direction to the site reliability teams. This position is also responsible for leading the Chemicals-wide asset and operational reliability steering team and driving best proactive sharing and leveraging of key asset strategy platforms across the corporation.

Director, Global Reliability - Chemicals Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop global reliability strategy to achieve Chemicals organizational strategy including goals, key metrics, monitoring, and report out.
  • Drive actions to achieve quarterly and annual reliability targets.
  • Coordinate, drive engagement and executive plan for leveraging key reliability platforms across the corporation.
  • Lead team of central key reliability specialists and corresponding business and functional networks.
  • Benchmark and leverage external tools and systems.

Director, Global Reliability - Chemicals Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree* in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 15 years of reliability, engineering, manufacturing, or related experience.
  • Prior leadership experience with a large global organization.
  • Extensive experience, leadership, and execution of continuous improvement (e.g. Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S) and ability to implement and leverage digital technology in pursuit of reliability performance.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness to influence without direct authority, making things happen in the field and to develop and execute strategies across multiple organizations.
  • Able and willing to travel, domestically and globally 30-50%.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license
