Title: Engineering Leader
Location: St. Gabriel

Salary: $135,000 - $190,000
Schedule: 9/80 or Standard 40hr/wk available
Relocation Available

Focus: The Engineering Leader will plan, organize, and direct activities of the Engineering (process/projects) department.

Engineering Leader Essential Job Functions:

  • Follow all plant operating and safety policies and procedures to make on-the-job decisions to permit safe and efficient operations of the area and the overall plant, according to specified and delegated authority.
  • Prepare Capital Appropriations Requests (CAR) necessary for execution of the capital program and for preparation and tracking of long-range plan.
  • Provide technical support to departments and plants as requested; provide on-call assistance as required.
  • Identify, implement, and track KPI's to measure current performance and performance improvement in engineering and project execution.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training with project design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and basic accounting principles to ensure adherence to project plans and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular project reviews with stakeholders to communicate progress, address issues, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure operational documentation is timely and complete for Capital Projects (CPMS), Management of Change (eMOC), Action Items (AMT), Training (SABA), timesheet review and approval for hourly employees (Kronos).

Engineering Leader Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree* in Engineering.

  • Minimum of 7 years of engineering experience; chemical industry preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including team leadership and development.

  • Experience with SAP.

  • Strong project management skills with proven experience leading complex capital projects from inception to completion in a chemical manufacturing environment.

  • Field presence is approximately 20% weekly to review projects. This involves walking around the facility, climbing stairs/ladders, and walking on elevated floors and towers with grating.

  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred.

  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license.
