DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Human Resource Assistant 2, you will act as the primary timekeeper for H1 Bargaining Unit employees for institutions which are supported centrally by the Department of Corrections Human Resource Office. Work involves using the SAP database to enter absence and attendance data; compute and/or adjust employee leave quota; process and/or input leave payouts for separating employees; process wage advancements; as well as monitor holiday usage and work schedule changes. You will also be responsible for running Cumulated Time Evaluation Results reports and working with with the Transactions and Payroll Analyst to correct payroll concerns. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the FMLA liaison, coordinating requests for FMLA leave as well as approving or disapproving requests and ensuring accurate and timely entry of FMLA absences.

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- AWS (alternate work schedule) may be available upon successful completion of a 6-month probationary period.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, with occasional in-office days. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Human Resource Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of clerical or other comparable experience and one year of beginning level paraprofessional human resource or equal opportunity work; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
