Summary

The Senior Digital Transformation Architect will support the development and implementation of innovative digital solutions while mastering the core principles of digital transformation. They are responsible for research, analysis, and modeling to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities in existing and proposed solutions. They communicate their findings and recommendations to support decision-making and change management. Their responsibilities include understanding business requirements, planning digitalization strategies, and implementing digital solutions to improve business performance. They bring expertise and knowledge in the areas of artificial intelligence, automation, robotics, and digital workplace strategies.

The Senior Digital Transformation Architect champions the application of digital capabilities to processes, products, and assets to improve internal efficiency, and enhance customer value, manage risk, and uncover new monetization opportunities. Adapts digitalization strategy to map changing business requirements brought about by customer demand and technology. Enables transformation of business and organizational activities, processes, competencies, and models to fully leverage the changes and opportunities of a mix of digital technologies and their accelerating impact across NYPA, Canals, our customers, and the State of New York in a strategic and prioritized way, with present and future shifts in mind. #LI-VB1

Responsibilities
  • Support the execution, planning, and optimization of digital projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Analyze digital performance metrics and implement continuous improvement strategies.
  • Present at workshops and meetings to identify and address digital transformation needs.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to design and implement advanced digital solutions.
  • Document moderately complex digital processes and user requirements.
  • Support key initiatives including AI, Digital Worker, Intelligent Automation, and Next Gen ERP.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies and platforms to enhance business capabilities.
  • Create value maximization strategies for new and existing technologies, optimizing key tools and processes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • In depth knowledge of project and program management techniques and methods.
  • High-level technical skills in technology, digital transformation, intelligent automation, and AI.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence within a team, with strong-decision making skills
  • Ability to think strategically and make recommendations based on thorough research and analysis.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

Education, Experience and Certifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • 4 years of work experience leading technology projects.
  • Experience managing intelligent automation initiatives and building solutions with tools like RPA, AI, etc.
Physical Requirements

The New York Power Authority is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. The estimated salary range for this position is: $110,000.00 - $151,800.00. The salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidates' relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
