POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Cost Analyst will be responsible for standard setting for sourced goods, and financial information related to shipping activities for Mannington products. Support and drive understanding of performance with distribution and business segment management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Period close for distribution centers including reconciliations, accruals, and reporting.
  • Prepare and manage forecasts related to distribution and sourced goods.
  • Set standards for sourced goods using ocean freight, duties, drayage and vendor rates.
  • Research and report PPV related to sourced goods.
  • Work with Inventory supervisor on cycle count adjustments, bin status, and warehouse scrap.
  • Prepare capital expenditure forms and manage spending in relation to projects for distribution.
  • Prepare and present KPI's for shipping and receiving performance


  • Achieve team integration and become a valued resource for the distribution group by driving business changes through analyses on expenses, product costing and warehousing movements.


  • Develop annual cost center budgets, and weekly variance analysis. Improve actual performance reporting against those goals or targets.


  • Safeguards assets and ensures accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing procedures, processes, controls and checks across the business.



JOB REQIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 3-5 years progressive financial experience in a distribution environment
  • Technically proficient in accounting principles and financial modeling
  • SAP General Ledger experience a plus
  • Ability to work autonomously and with a high degree of ownership
  • Superior interpersonal skills including both verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for non-financial customers
  • Strong user of PC based analytical tools, e.g. spreadsheets, financial modeling, TM1 & BI tool
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong organization skills balanced with the appropriate attention to detail
  • Ability to work extended hours during selected critical time periods, e.g. period closing, budgets, year end
