Description
Join the dynamic Streets Division team at the Town of Erie Public Works as a Streets Maintenance Technician, where your day is never just a walk in the park. We're on the hunt for an adaptable and hardworking individual who thrives under general supervision and is eager to dive into a variety of tasks that keep our town's infrastructure in tip-top shape. You'll be the jack-of-all-trades, tackling everything from maintaining roadways and right-of-ways to ensuring our signage shines. And let's not forget about the exciting world of traffic data collection devices and school zone speed awareness signs - you'll get to know them inside out. Your toolkit will include everything from a trusty hand tool to the mightiest of machinery (think front-end loaders, dump trucks, and even snow plows). And when winter hits, you're our go-to for snow removal - whether it's with a shovel or behind the controls of heavy equipment. But that's not all - your role goes beyond the streets. You'll be an essential part of the team, aiding in various operations from water service management to assisting in town events. Don your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and get ready to create a safe and efficient environment for all. If you're ready to take on a role that's as varied as it is rewarding, and you're committed to serving the community, then this is the opportunity you've been waiting for. All staff are expected to adhere to the Town's mission, vision, and TRUE Erie values.
