Who we are looking for:

The American Society of Clinical Oncology (the Society), in partnership with Korn Ferry, invites nominations and expressions of interest for the position of Vice President, Care Delivery.

Scientifically and medically speaking, there has never been a more exciting and optimistic time to take care of cancer patients. Yet, nationally and worldwide, there are serious challenges and disruptions to the practice and profession of oncology, which in turn, means that there is more dependence on the health of every practice setting and the well-being of the full care team. ASCO's north star is the best possible cancer care outcome for every patient, every day, everywhere, and specifically, their Care Delivery team achieves this goal by offering resources on all aspects of innovative, patient-centered care and the highest quality evidence-based practice tools developed by oncologists.

The Vice President of Care Delivery will lead a department that draws on all of ASCO's resources, including volunteer groups, to develop and carry out practice support, cancer care delivery, and quality of care tools and programs that enable clinicians to adjust to a rapidly changing practice environment and meet the goals of the ASCO strategic plan. Additionally, they will be responsible for overseeing and directing the efforts of oncology clinical care quality standards and certification, practice quality measurement, and initiatives around practice health and practice operations. Working closely and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team as well as the senior management and executive leadership, the Vice President will serve as an organizational steward promoting ASCO's mission and vision internally and externally, nationally and internationally.

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President, the ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in oncology clinical leadership and have demonstrated knowledge of and success in oncology practice management, business operations, quality measurement, practice improvement, and advocacy. They will have earned an MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent, have over ten (10) years of clinical experience as well as over fifteen (15) years' experience in a supervisory role. In addition, the application of value-based oncology care, associated cancer care delivery, and oncology payment systems and ongoing reform (both in progress and proposed) is highly desirable.

***Korn Ferry is assisting ASCO with this important recruitment. Applications should include a detailed curriculum vitae and a letter of interest that highlights the applicant's personal vision and relevant leadership experience. To ensure full consideration, inquiries, nominations, and applications should be submitted electronically, in confidence, to tara.vittese@kornferry.com.
