The Financial Accountant supports the CFO and other accounting personnel by performing account reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and preparing financial reporting with variance analysis. This role will also process accounts payable invoices and issue payments, post bank transactions and allocate payments, and will support the year end financial audit and other special projects or ad-hoc requests.

- Responsible for the accounts payable process for corporate office
- Performs a variety of reconciliations, prepares journal entries and performs other necessary activities to facilitate timely monthly closing
- Reviews reporting and researches and resolves discrepancies; researches variances and provides concise notes regarding variance analysis
- Assists and/or prepares monthly financial statements
- May assist with cash forecasting and associated reporting
- Ensures all accounting activities performed comply with US GAAP and company accounting policies
- Responds to tax and audit inquiries to provide data and conduct analysis as appropriate; may coordinate with site Controllers and accounting personnel to facilitate timely audit and tax responses from the sites
- Performs other ad-hoc projects and reporting as required
- Sets an example for integrity, communication, and compliance for others in the organization by following policies, communicating professionally, and providing timely responses to employees and internal customers
- Communicates regularly (English) via phone, email, and in-person with employees across all levels and with external parties and vendors
- Regular attendance on-site at the workplace is required
Required Education and Work Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in accounting/finance role to include A/P processing, reconciliations, and journal entries is required
Other Required Skills and Abilities
- Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP and standard accounting practices
- Accuracy and detail orientation are essential
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
- Self-management skills including efficiency, sense of urgency, ability to adapt and respond to unexpected circumstances, and ability to juggle multiple projects, competing priorities, and meet concurrent deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word with demonstrated advanced Excel skills to include vlookups, pivot tables, custom formatting, and preparation of charts and graphs
- Experience utilizing a comprehensive ERP system is required; Infor Visual experience preferred
