Facilities Maintenance Technician - Moorpark, CA

We have an opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Moorpark, CA team. You will use your knowledge, skills, and effort to safely install, inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain facility equipment and infrastructure. You will also utilize preventative maintenance processes on all facility equipment to maintain minimal interruptions to production and business operations. You will utilize Lean tools (RCCM, 5-whys, A3, etc.) to improve downtime trends and reduce costs as needed. In addition, you will work with limited supervision and support teamwork to complete projects.

You will:

  • Install, inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain facility equipment and infrastructure.
  • Utilize preventative maintenance processes on all facility equipment.
  • Utilize Lean tools (RCCM, 5-whys, A3, etc.) to improve downtime.
  • Conduct repairs on building infrastructure, including doors, windows, floors, walls, and roofs.
  • Maintain facility electrical systems, including lights, outlets, and circuit breakers.
  • Coordinate with external vendors or contractors when required for specialized repairs or services.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of related work experience as a maintenance, industrial, or facilities tech.
  • Full knowledge of safe work practices (i.e., hazardous materials awareness with OSHA's Right-to-Know standard, fork truck/PIT certified, PPE requirements, fire safety, lockout/tagout procedure, hot work procedure).
  • Basic to intermediate ability to read mechanical blueprints, to read pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics, to troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing equipment, and to identify root causes and make recommendations for improved operation.
  • Full computer skills to use Smart Maintenance CMMS
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery (i.e., forklifts, cherry pickers, scissor lift, etc.)
  • Physical requirements include standing, walking, sitting, twisting at the waist, bending, lifting, and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Full knowledge of safe work practices, including but not limited to hazardous materials awareness with OSHA's Right-to-Know standard, fork truck/PIT certified, PPE requirements, fire safety, lockout/tagout procedure, hot work procedure.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Lifting of up to 30-50 pounds consistently.

Education:

  • High School Diploma
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Compensation:

The hourly pay for this role is: $23.00/hr. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.

Shift:

1st Shift: 8am-4:45pm, Monday-Friday (OT and weekends as needed)
