Plant Finance Manager - Richmond Pet Food Plant - Richmond, IN

OVERVIEW

Are you humble, hungry, and smart? Join the Richmond Herd as a Finance Site Lead. In this role you will collaborate with peers to achieve the plant mission & goals, partner with plant operations to deliver business results, support a strong fiduciary environment, analyze metrics and reporting, and provide business insights. You will have financial leadership responsibility for the entire site, including 3 salaried direct reports.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Ensure Effective Plant Financial Management

  • Responsible for the development, execution, and monitoring of the annual operating plan, periodic financial forecasts, and monthly financial close.
  • Monitor financial performance and develop plans to close any gaps in plant targets.
  • Support site delivery of annual HMM targets.
  • Develop, coach, and lead Richmond finance team of 3 direct reports to deliver financial excellence and superior customer service to both internal plant and external stakeholders.

Ensure Effective Financial Controls

  • Ensure the control environment complies with all company policies and supports the safeguarding of company assets.
  • Maintain audit-ready status of internal controls through periodic review and self-audit.

Plant Leadership Team Responsibilities

  • Collaborate as a strong voice on the Richmond Leadership Team (RLT) and represent 'The Voice of the Plant' on functional teams.
  • Support development and execution of site strategies, including Safety, Organizational Health, Zero Loss Culture and Business Process Management.
  • Provide support and leadership on cross-functional plant and corporate initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field and 4+ years of Finance related experiences
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire to work cross-functionally with all plant functions (Cross-Functional Leadership)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to influence, develop, and motivate peers (Matrix Relationship Management)
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work well on a cross-functional team, build effective relationships across all levels of the organization (Partnership for Impact) and coach / develop others

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of related experience
  • Experience working in a finance/accounting role within manufacturing
  • Experience with SAP in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing others and leading teams
  • Experience in food manufacturing
  • Proven analytical and strategic skills (Analytic Proficiency)
  • Assertive, self-confident, and willing to offer opinions and insights (Plant/Site Leadership)
  • Initiative and ability to work independently and to effectively work with a team (Situational Agility)

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:

  • International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.

Salary Range



The salary range for this position is $91900.00 - $138000.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
