Emergency Vehicle Operator

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. High School Diploma/GED.

2. Valid driver's license.

3. Emergency Vehicle Operator Certification within 60 days of hire.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Two years driving experience with clean driving record.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1.EMT preferred

EXPERIENCE:

1. 2 years of experience driving emergency vehicles.

1. Plans and organizes patient transfers.

2. Moves patients via wheelchair to various appointments.

3. Safely secures wheelchair patients utilizing seatbelts and restraining straps.

4. Completes run reports on all patient moves.

5. To support the Mission Of WVU Camden Clark: To meet the healthcare needs of our community for a lifetime.

6. Is an integral part of our emergency team assuring safe transport to and from the scene of accident or illness.

5. Ability to trouble shoot minor mechanical problems with van and lift.

6. Accountable for keeping wheelchairs clean and in good repair.

7. Familiar with WV emergency driving laws.
