EnSafe is searching for an Environmental Compliance Specialist or Environmental Engineer-in-Training to add to our Southeast-based compliance team, providing support to clients nationwide.

EnSafe is an employee-owned global environmental consulting and engineering firm. We strive to provide innovative, creative solutions for our clients. EnSafe specializes in custom solutions in Environmental Management and Planning, Civil Design Engineering, Environmental Restoration, Natural & Water Resources, Health & Safety, and Technology, with offices operating within the U.S.

What We Are Looking For:

We seek an Environmental Compliance Specialist or EIT, experienced in a wide range of regulatory programs and media (air, water, waste, etc.), centered on regulatory citations and agency oversight. EnSafe Compliance teams are involved in evaluating the compliance status of industrial and government facilities.

What You Will Be Doing:

* Data collection, organization, and extrapolation: Common tasks include collecting data (everything from production data to tank inventories) and reorganizing in such a way that demonstrates regulatory compliance.

* Regulatory research, summarization, and applicability assessments: Each state does things differently, and each regulatory agency does things differently, and for that reason, this position requires continual research and applicability assessments. There is always a new twist to the work we do!

* Technical Writing: This position will include writing regulatory-driven, site-specific compliance plans. Conducting site visits, collecting the needed data to develop plans, and then writing said plans using the details collected to demonstrate compliance.

* Problem Solving & Critical Thinking: As consultants, we provide solutions to problems - we're problem solvers at heart! Within compliance, this typically surfaces as our client needs help meeting a regulatory requirement. It's our job to figure out what and how it applies. The position should expect problem-solving and deductive reasoning to play a significant role in the day-to-day tools needed. Being able to convey the technical content back to a diverse audience is a critical part of working in consulting. This skill will only grow at EnSafe!

What You Will Need:

* BS in Engineering, Civil or Environmental Engineering, or Environmental Science

* Familiar with basic mathematical functions and properties, including density, unit conversion, calculating volume, and mean.

* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, small-scale to large-scale workbooks, Excel functions, and formatting.

* Effective written/verbal communication, presentation, and organization/analytical skills.

* Strong organizational and time management skills while working on multiple projects for multiple clients.

* Regular travel to client locations (local and regional), with the ability to travel nationally and overnight frequently.

* Candidates must be willing and able to work independently with minimal oversight in some circumstances.

* The ability to gain and maintain a valid driver's license.

* Commitment to uphold EnSafe standards of quality and safety.
