Overview

*If located near the metro NYC office or near a GTC office in California, then this will be a hybrid role with 3 days in-office and 2 days WAH. If outside of these locations, then this role will be fully remote.*

Global Travel Collection is seeking a manager to assist with Cruise Operations. This detail-oriented individual will maintain relationships with key cruise partner suppliers and assist advisors with cruise sales and supplier partner triage; a vital role that helps to set us apart as the pre-eminent procurer of luxury and contemporary cruise experiences. The individual will also be expected to build and maintain relationships with key cruise partners.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a wide range to comply with pay transparency laws in all states and geographical areas. Many factors, such as years of experience, geographical location, budget etc. are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. The salary range posted represents the pay range for U.S. candidates. If the job posting indicates that the role is available for international candidate consideration, the salary range will be based on the local market for the country where the candidate would be working.

This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company's financial goal achievement and individual performance.



Responsibilities

    Support advisors booking cruise by providing advice on cruise product and cruise partner suppliers
  • Work with advisors and key supplier contacts on problem resolution within existing cruise bookings
  • Communicate industry trends & provide product knowledge to GTC's advisor community
  • Maintain the cruise section of the internal intranet. Update information on suppliers, contacts, promotions.
  • Assist engagement team on events, both in-house and external, when necessary
  • Assist Advisors with access to portals on cruise websites as well as timely distribution of booking confirmations and anything else that may come into the cruise mailbox at the HQ level
  • Assist with the Leisure mailbox and escalate items as necessary
  • Assist with information and/or planning as needed for cruise familiarization trips
  • Contribute to cruise training programs and help deliver training to advisors as requested
  • Understand and promote cruise programs from our Consortia partner
  • Procure and maintain cruise group space to be booked by GTC Advisors
  • Work on other strategic projects as requested by senior management


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree - preferably in Business Administration or Hospitality Management or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of previous work experience in cruise sales support/operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office product skills
  • Sociable/professional: able to cultivate/maintain relationships with suppliers
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage stressful situations in a fast-paced environment is crucial
  • Only candidates with a proven track record of teamwork and "can-do" attitude will be considered
  • Availability for ad-hoc/trade/after-hours events in NYC or LA will be required as needed
