Focus: The Site Paint QA/QC Technician is responsible for ensuring that the appropriate processes and systems are in place to apply high-quality coatings. This position involves working as a coatings Subject Matter Expert (SME) and supporting operating units with assessing piping and equipment coating needs to support annual budgets.

Site Paint QA/QC Technician Essential Job Functions:

  • Establish proper planning, scheduling and coordination of daily and project work through the use of SAP, schedules, and time recharge.
  • Perform annual paint assessment for each block/operating unit to support the Global Paint Program.
  • Track paint-related VOCs per Environmental requirements.
  • Administer an effective and active safety program through application of the Hazard Recognition Plus (HRP) thought process.
  • Monitor safety, productivity, performance, and quality through field audits and report review to ensure reported results reflect the quality of the work; develop improvements in all areas.
  • Be knowledgeable in paint application; stay informed and current on changes in regulations or laws that impact our procedures or policies.
Site Paint QA/QC Technician Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the coatings industry; experience in a chemical manufacturing facility preferred
  • AMPP/NACE Level 1 Coating Inspector required; Level 2 preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of compliance requirements
  • Proficient use of SAP preferred
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively, both orally and in writing; demonstrate attention to detail; solve problems and recommend solutions to various coating-related non-conformances
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license
