JOB SUMMARY

Account Manager - Fire Protection Sales (Data Center Market)

ORR Protection's Business Development team seeks a results-oriented Account Manager to drive sales of fire protection solutions within the Data Center industry. Focusing on EPCs and Electrical Contractors in the AI Data Center ecosystem, this role will identify and expand strategic relationships to grow ORR's pipeline of large AI Data Center opportunities.

The successful candidate will collaborate with ORR's field salesforce to close business and expand existing client relationships when necessary. Essential qualifications include fire protection sales experience, strong prospecting and networking skills, a proven ability to close complex, high-value deals, and experience with ECs and EPCs in the data center sector.

This is a remote position with national responsibility. The ideal candidate will be based in either the Central or Mountain timezone. Easy access to a major airport is essential.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

All team members must embody ORR Protection's mission: providing protection for people, property, and the environment.




  • Identify and target prospects that align with ORR Protection's services, including Data Centers, EPCs, Electrical Contractors, and mission-critical facilities.



  • Generate and follow up on leads by making contact with key decision-makers and developing interest in ORR's offerings.



  • Engage in early project planning with EPCs and electrical contractors to ensure ORR's solutions are integrated into project bids.



  • Communicate with business executives, engineering teams, and procurement leaders to identify needs and present tailored fire protection solutions.



  • Lead client negotiations and move prospects through the sales cycle, from initial engagement to contract execution.



  • Work with ORR's technical SME team to align solutions with NFPA standards (NFPA 75, 76, 855) and client fire protection requirements.



  • Perform proposal development and contract review activities to ensure ORR's offerings meet both technical and commercial needs.



  • Collaborate with the ORRs field salesforce when necessary, to negotiate and close sales that vary in contract length and fee range.



  • Maintain accurate records in CRM (Salesforce preferred), tracking leads, opportunities, and sales performance.




MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.



  • Bachelor's degree preferred.



  • 5-10 years of sales experience in fire protection, life safety, or a related industry (EPC, electrical contracting, building controls, mission-critical services).



  • Proven ability to book between $5M+ in installation or service contracts per year.



  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM software preferred.



  • Strong consultative sales skills with a proven track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.



  • NICET certification preferred.




KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES


  • Deep knowledge of mission-critical fire protection solutions, with a particular focus on the datacenter ecosystem



  • Ability to identify potential leads, develop relationships, and close sales within Data Centers, EPCs, and Electrical Contractors



  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders



  • Proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office (Docs/Word, Sheets/Excel, Gmail/Outlook)



  • Ability to manage time, budgets, and sales pipelines effectively
