Salary range: $85,000 - $100,000 Hours per week: 40+ Duties and/or Responsibilities:
- Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame
- Reviews project proposals to determine time frame, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
- Establishes work plan and staffing and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel .
- Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
- Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel.
- Reviews status report and prepares project reports.
- Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
- Coordinates and/or solicits DBE contractors
- Coordinate and follow through on process from bid through award of project. Including timely bid document preparation, timely DBE and subcontractor quotes and bid submittals, continual contact with DBE, subcontractors, etc. to assure participation, submission of information and that contract goals will be met
- Meet with customers and satisfy their needs
- Research jobs to be bid including reviewing Construction Bulletin
- Meet with subcontractors
- Prepare bid documents
- Monitor subcontractors work
- Monitor upcoming work
- Create project schedule & monitor projects from bid to completion
- Reconcile vendor statements monthly to assure all invoices are paid
- Attend bid lettings
- Prepare billings & collections
- Manage projects (responsible for all projects bid unless reassigned)
- Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
- Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
- Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-4-year degree preferred in construction or project management or engineering from an accredited college or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years estimating and project management experience
- Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record.
