Manager, Project Management - Treasury Management Product Technical Sales Expert

The Commercial Bank's Treasury Management Product Team is transforming how businesses operate, building top-tier client and associate experiences using secure, best in class technology. The TM Product Team is responsible for supporting all client-facing products as well as associate-facing tools, operations, and sales support.

Technology is a critical component of Commercial Banking's Strategic direction as we continue to deploy innovative financial technologies that drive clients to reimagine their Treasury Management models, architectures and governance. With your impressive knowledge of the evolving digital landscape, innovative technologies and trends in technology strategy/implementation, you will contribute immediately with high performance teams to address Treasury Management client solutions with precision and speed.

To drive revenue from prospective and existing client relationships, this individual will exhibit a high degree of solutions consulting and technical aptitude as they interview, analyze, and assess a client's needs in an effort to tailor our solutions more effectively. The person in this role will be expected to perform these functions throughout the client lifecycle. The individual in this role will need to develop a profound understanding of Treasury Management processes and Capital One's Commercial Integrated Payables solutions.

The Product Technical Sales Expert will also interact with Treasury Sales, Operations, Client Service, Client Onboarding and Product Management groups. As such, a candidate would have clear and effective communication across multiple levels of an organization along with strong analytical and technical experience. Moreover, a strong candidate will have organizational, project management and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task, solve problems, make presentations and provide excellent follow-up.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership and Management

    • Consult with Relationship Managers, Sales Officers, Onboarding team and Product Managers to drive increased revenue from Commercial Treasury Management clients

    • Understand clients' needs and technologies, develop and implement product knowledge materials, leadership governance and risk management models to address today's business banking needs and support future growth

  • Client Engagement

    • Prepare and support responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs) to close sales opportunities with $50MM to $1B in revenue companies with the Treasury Management Sales team

    • Provide consulting support to our TM client's accounting processes and ERPs or other business system software solutions from a functional and organizational change management standpoint

  • Process Design

    • Work in multi-disciplinary teams to shape, propose, communicate and implement product development processes and solutions - intensive, high impact engagements, harnessing latest agile ways of working and leveraging design-based thinking

    • Implement continuous improvement, leveraging frameworks and data insights to revise sales and marketing activities and workflow

    • Vendor relationship management with key suppliers with a focus on new product design and development

  • Thought leadership

    • Provide presentations on Treasury Management solutions across the Value Chain

    • Keep abreast of competition, technology changes, trends, etc. in the marketplace and educate partners and customers as appropriate

  • Financial Product Knowledge

    • Financial industry product and technical knowledge will include

      • Integrated Payables to include ACH, Wire Transfer, Check, and Card

      • XML, EDI, BAI2, CSV format standards

      • Client delivery methods to include APIs, transmissions, SFTP protocols

      • Treasury Management product knowledge that includes online bill pay, remote deposit capture, check processing, ACH, wire transfers, Positive Pay

      • General knowledge of ERP, Treasury Work Stations, Payment Gateways, and client accounting procedures

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clarity and precision in both written and verbal capacities

  • Bias towards delivering impactful results

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience

  • At least 2 years of Treasury Management, Account Management, Technical Integration, or Consulting experience

  • At least 2 years of experience working with one or more ERP or AP systems including, but not limited to, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Infor, Deltech, Procore, Viewpoint, Yardi, MRI and JD Edwards

  • At least 2 years experience performing data analytics using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

  • At least 3 years of experience supporting sales teams or clients

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's Degree

  • At least 2 years of Project Management or Product Management experience

  • At least 2 years of experience with Commercial Banking products

  • 5+ years of working with one or more ERP or AP systems including, but not limited to, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Infor, Deltech, Procore, Viewpoint, Yardi, MRI, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, Lawson, Visual, Vantage, EPICOR, JobBoss, Macola, ECiM1, SysPro, Workday and Acumatica

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Plano, TX: $132,800 - $151,600 for Manager, Project Management Anytown, IL: $132,800 - $151,600 for Manager, Project Management Charlotte, NC: $132,800 - $151,600 for Manager, Project Management Richmond, VA: $132,800 - $151,600 for Manager, Project Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
