We're hiring a Public Management Analyst to serve out ofDenverwithin our Greenwood Village-based Public Management Services practice for special districts along the Front Range. The Public Management Analyst is a public administrator who works in an assistant capacity to an Assistant Public Manager/Public Manager/Principal in providing services, including day-to-day operations of special and metropolitan districts, municipalities, community associations, public administration, public policy, and statutory compliance.

Work Activities & Accountabilities: The below functions reflect the general details of the essential work activities and accountabilities of this position and are not all-inclusive. Other activities may be assigned.

  • Covenant Enforcement: Leads management team on serving Community Association clients to provide day-to-day operational, covenant enforcement, and design review services
  • Public Administration: Completes projects as assigned, assists in preparing board packets and communications, helps to track documents and direct vendor relationships. Beginning( developing) knowledge of state statutes governing local governments and CRS Title 32 special and metropolitan districts, governmental budgets, public records, public hearings, public notices, governmental purchasing practices, policy formation, and tax structure. Manages small public infrastructure planning, financing, construction and maintenance alternatives.
  • Special District Compliance: Develop understanding of statutory compliance issues pertaining to special districts and municipalities, required filings with DOLA and other agencies. Leads management team with completing small statutory compliance matters and tracking the calendar for same. Develop knowledge of state statutes.
  • Client Service: Responsible for providing superior client service in a support role to the management team. Conducting site visits as directed by management team. Coordinating client facility reservations/use.
  • Skills and Attributes: Ability to work with many managers and clients. Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills. Ability to effectively work within a team environment.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field required, or Associate's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field plus two years of experience in a related field, or 4+ years of related experience acceptable in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.
  • 1 year of experience in city or county management, public works, land development or related field(s) required.
  • Ability to travel to client sites between Colorado Springs and Denver area as needed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products.
  • Ability to work with many managers and clients and multitask.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively work within a team environment.

Compensation strategy statement:

Our approach to compensation emphasizes collaboration and career growth. We pay competitive wages and view compensation as an investment in our people. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range. These same factors may cause starting pay to be below or above the posted range. For Colorado, the range for this position is $52,200 to $88,000.
