DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Corrections Records Specialist, you will be responsible for the Records Office, ensuring the DC-15 master files are accurate and current. This involves analyzing court documents to create or modify sentence structures and calculations, assessing commitment credits for legality and applicability, and adjusting sentence calculations based on court or Pennsylvania Probation and Parole Board changes. Additionally, you will update and review inmate criminal histories, conduct individual interviews with inmates for various purposes, and liaise with different criminal justice agencies regarding inmate matters. It is essential to carefully examine inmate cases within their caseload before release to confirm that the release is lawful, timely, and that all conditions for release have been satisfied. Furthermore, you are tasked with registering and fingerprinting sex offenders in compliance with Megan's Law, as well as fingerprinting parole violators. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Records Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Three years of clerical or correctional custodial experience including one year in a correctional facility; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of clerical or correctional custodial experience in a correctional facility.
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of training academy at Elizabethtown, PA.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
