What you'll be doing...

Our Campus team delivers the planning, pipelining, experience, and staffing execution supporting Verizon's campus talent acquisition strategy. You'll be helping us find great talent with the potential to make a difference for our customers and drive our business forward. The students you bring in will become part of the community of talented, driven individuals that make Verizon a great place to work.

In this role you will:

  • Focus on meeting hiring goals in a timely manner, with a focus on quality and compliance.

  • Build relationships with students to brand Verizon as an employer of choice.

  • Build relationships with hiring managers and leadership within the client groups.

  • Assist with managing external relationships with colleges and universities aligned to business functional areas to attract and identify talent.

  • Represent, support, and host Verizon campus events as needed (e.g. career fairs, information sessions, and conferences).

  • Source students through a variety of channels like career fairs, digital tools, and referrals.

  • Support building our brand across university campuses and strengthening our relationships with career services and student organizations.

  • Manage and execute on campus full recruitment life cycle from driving candidate applications, closing candidates, and keeping them warm until start.

  • Year-round support for various campus process improvement and experience projects.

This is a hybrid position and must sit out of a valid Verizon corporate location in one of the following locations: Boston, MA or Wallingford, CT.

What we're looking for...

You enjoy working with students and helping them see the possibilities in their future. You understand the factors that students consider for their first job and would enjoy helping them imagine themselves at Verizon.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Full-cycle recruiting experience.

  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 50% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.

  • Bilingual in Spanish.

  • Three or more years of campus recruiting experience.

  • Verizon Talent Acquisition experience.

  • Project management experience.

  • Workday experience.

  • Strong ability in the latest word processing, presentation, and reporting software (e.g. Google Suite).

  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience.

  • Exercised effective influence, consulting, and negotiating skills.

Where you'll be working

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $68,000.00 and $127,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
