The Metropolitan Water District's Water System Operations Group has one opening for Instrumentation & Control Technician II located at the Jensen Treatment Facility (Granada Hills, CA). This recruitment will be used to build an Eligibility List. This list will be valid for 6 months from the date a candidate accepts the position. As an Instrumentation & Control Technician II you will assist journey level technicians on projects, special assignments, and equipment and system modifications. You will assist in performing routine maintenance, installations, modifications, component-level troubleshooting and repair, and laboratory and field technical analysis of electronic instrumentation and complex digital and analog systems. Tasks are carried out both in a treatment plant environment and in District distribution facilities throughout the MWD service area. This position will perform other related job duties as required. To view the full job description click here: Instrumentation & Control Technician II EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or certificate of high school equivalency, completion of 40 semester units in electronics from an accredited college, university, vocational, or military school AND two years relevant experience; OR Two years as an Instrumentation and Control Technician I. Please note: PROOF OF COMPLETION OF 40 SEMESTER UNITS IN ELECTRONICS FROM AN ACCREDITED COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY, VOCATIONAL, OR MILITARY SCHOOL WILL NEED TO BE PROVIDED.
