Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Apply product acceptance and/or reject criteria based on quality standards.
- Apply process and product knowledge to determine good/bad characteristics not currently defined per instructions.
- Dispose of product in process and/or finished goods based on product classification and data analysis.
- Rework product where applicable and work with the quality department to develop new/improved repair techniques.
- Fill out different forms and reports related to quality/scrap performance.
- Support the supervisor in RCCM (Root Cause and Counter Measure) projects to improve quality performance throughout the year.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the shift supervisor.
Knowledge, Skill Set, and Qualifications:
- Ability to cross-train and perform all tasks/workstations in the assigned area.
- Knowledge to recognize defects from other areas.
- Good communication skills with other areas on defects and with team members and production supervisors.
- Ability to work with supervisors, process techs, quality techs, engineering departments, and other area leaders to drive improvements.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a tugger license.
- Must be fluent in computer use, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- Body Shop/Auto Body Repair skills preferred.
Requirements:
- 2 years of Repair Line or Assembly Line experience.
- Less than 4 attendance points if internal.
- Must have electrical wiring experience
- Good communication skills to both communicate results of inspections and activities clearly and to rapidly integrate input from Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Operations on developing product and process standards.
- Basic computer skills to input data into spreadsheets (Excel) and/or databases (Access/MES).
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to use hands to operate small tools.
- Required to stand.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
