Responsibilities

Arcfield is growing and seeking a Systems Engineer Senior Technical Specialist to support System/Service Realization for their customer's COMM Directorate. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to enable the system to become operational and successful while ensuring that the system, its elements, and its interfaces conform to their requirements. (Please note, an offer for this position will be contingent on an awarded contract.)

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Determine that system specifications, designs, processes, and products are compliant with requirements
  • Verify system capability to meet all requirements prior to production and operation
  • Determine the perceived risks, safety, and criticality of the system or service and determine that the system does all the things it should and does not do what it should not do
  • Define and maintain the top COMM level and integration level planning and requirements for IT system and service testing
  • Support the planning and execution of early integration tests
  • Interpret and incorporate test results to support requirement verification
  • Provide input to service providers test and verification plans
  • Facilitate interface activities with operational sites including launch activities, and support of anomaly resolution
  • Support multi project verification and tests by providing review and comment on integration, verification and validation plans, transition plans, defect work off plans, design and readiness review plans and products, test plans, procedures, use cases, and test scenarios
  • Participate in test events, provide test satisfaction recommendations, and prepare test reports as directed

Qualifications

BS 12-15, MS 10-13, PhD 8-10

Required Qualifications:

  • An Active Top Secret / SCI w/Poly Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Outstanding customer intimacy skills; ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams as well as to interface effectively with personnel at all levels of government
  • A commitment to quality, accuracy, continuous improvement, and be detailed oriented
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks concurrently
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Demonstrated judgment, initiative, and critical thinking to execute mission objectives
  • The ability to travel as necessary to satisfy assigned tasks
  • Be comfortable and flexible with executing additional duties as assigned
  • Has demonstrated a holistic approach in order to design, develop, evaluate and modify end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle
  • Is able to quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics
  • Has established and coordinated the development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to overall product development
  • Has designed interfaces and brought system elements together so they work as a whole
  • Has acted as a customer liaison and supporter for business development activities in order to understand and shape requirements
  • Has participated in system conceptual designs and documented the design concepts
  • Can translate high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and work with multi-discipline engineering teams to develop lower level detailed requirements

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degrees or certifications in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Experience designing, researching and developing highly advanced applications, which may result in new product/business opportunities for the company
  • Experience ensuring requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods
  • Participated in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation
  • Generate system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures
  • Has reviewed test plans/procedures to ensure they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participated in the testing process to validate requirements
  • Has experience working for the Federal Government/IC
