What you'll be doing...

You will support Overall Platform Rationalization at the enterprise level, which is going to enhance the experience for both Data Engineers /Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to build World-Class Solutions at scale.

As a Principal AI/ML Engineer within the Artificial Intelligence and Data Organization (AI&D), you will be providing technical guidance to AI/ML engineers across the global teams. You'll provide application design guidance to modernize existing applications or write new AI applications. You will be collaborating on new application design and implementation. Additionally, you will be working closely with Product Management and Data Scientists/Data Engineers to build and constantly drive excellence.

You will be responsible for implementation, performance tuning, and scaling AI/ML applications.

You will Lead and provide guidance to the team with regards to planning, configuring, Deploying, and Operating cloud solutions.

  • Implementation, performance tuning, and scaling AI/ML applications.

  • Provide guidance to the team with regards to planning, configuring, deploying, and operating cloud solutions.

  • Leading reporting and analytical systems to solve Big Data problems that drive customer satisfaction throughout our business.

  • Building and handling machine learning pipelines on a Hadoop cluster to support any kind of model deployment on streaming or batch data using tools like PySpark and Jupyter Notebook.

  • Investigating, designing, testing and implementing efficient software solutions.

  • Supporting new initiatives in 5G and Intelligent Edge Network work streams.

What we're looking for...

You are a good team player and have a go-getter kind of attitude with good interpersonal skills. You are a self-starter and a multitasker who can work independently under tight timelines. You want to make an impact by providing the data that will help improve the experience of our customers.

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Experience hosting an application on GCP using Cloud Run, Cloud Function, Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud SQL, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage etc.

  • Experience with Big Data on GCP - BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, and Dataflow

  • Proficient in a modern scripting language (preferably Python) for automation of build tasks

  • Experience working with container technology such as Docker, version control systems (Github), build management and CI/CD tools (Concourse, Jenkins), and monitoring tools (App Dynamics, etc.)

  • Real-time model deployment - ArgoCD, seldon core, Ray or equivalent frameworks, Optimizing compute for CPU and GPU workloads, ML Pipelines (KubeFlow Pipelines), Ray orchestrator

  • Model performance evaluation - Retrieval, Generation, and other GenAI use cases

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

  • Experience with infrastructure configuration management tools like Terraform, Puppet, and Chef

  • Experience on LLMs, VectorDB, GraphDB, and finetuning LLMs

  • Experience on Model-serving runtimes Like BentoML or TensorFlow Serving (TFX) or Triton Inference Server

  • Designed an operating model that fosters reuse and sharing of Reusable assets.

  • Experience presenting to and influencing functional leaders and stakeholders.

  • Exposure/experience of working on big data migration projects to Cloud (GCP) and AWS

  • Experience in managing/setting up teams. Experience working on and delivering large programs

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
