Description

* Communicates with key customers to document customer product and project needs. Identifies new product applications and communicates with NSK R&D, manufacturing, sales and marketing.


* Evaluates customer application requirements for technical considerations.


* Coordinates requests for customer analysis; followed by preparation, review, and issue of written reports to present findings.


* Manages documentation and activities for assigned projects.


* Provides mentoring through technical review and support to other application engineers in the department.


* Trains and develops customers and NSK personnel on NSK products.


* Evaluates customer requirements associated with requests for quotations.


* Identifies cost reduction possibilities and new design opportunities.


* Evaluates tested bearings in cooperation with development engineers.


* Supports supply of customer sample bearing requests.


* Reports progress of required activities such as interchanges, monthly reports, travel, expenses, etc.


This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 8 to 10 years of position-related experience; preferably over 10 years of position-related experience.
