The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) of Lakeview Center serves as an acute-care inpatient psychiatric facility for persons with mental health or co-occurring disorders from Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. The CSU is 24-hour hour continuous operations unit that serves voluntary clients as well as individuals admitted to the facility under the Baker Act or Marchman Act. The unit serves individuals 18 years of age and older. Services are designed and implemented to support the recovery, health or well-being of the persons or families served, to reduce symptoms, or needs, and to build resilience and restore, or improve functioning.

Position Summary:

Behavior Health Technician Supervisor assists the counselors/therapeutic/nursing staff by providing clinical support to adults who are receiving substance abuse, mental health services or co-occurring disorders in residential programs, inpatient settings, day/evening programs, outpatient programs and/or community-based programs. This position serves as a role model, mentor, and/or assistant trainer to other Behavior Health Technicians.

Behavior Health Technician Supervisor is responsible for, but is not limited to:

  • Providing direction and feedback to other Behavior Health Technicians during shift.
  • Establishing a positive helping relationship with persons receiving services.
  • Assisting persons receiving services to complete activities of daily living, including accessing needed resources, and building functional, pro-social relationships with others.
  • Ensuring the safety of the person receiving services.
  • Implementing specific interventions according to the person's treatment or service plan.
  • Monitoring and documenting the person's progress.

Role Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related area of study from an accredited college or university; or two (2) years of experience working with adults.
  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) preferred.
  • Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring services to meet the needs of individuals served and their families, as required.
  • Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record and be insurable under the corporate policy.
  • Complete advanced CPI within 3 months of hire date (as offered).

Compensation:

Base pay ranges from $17.50 - $18.75 an hour based on experience with an additional supplemental pay (up to 8% of base pay) for the Crisis Stabilization Unit. Shift differential pay is $2.00 - $4.00 per hour when applicable.
