Position Summary

Our mortgage company, HomeAmerican Mortgage (HMC), is currently seeking a qualified Quality Control Auditor. This position performs loan file audits as required by HMC Quality Control Program. Assists Compliance Manager with audit reports and other duties, as requested.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for accurate and efficient completion of quality control audits performed by, HomeAmerican Mortgage Corporation's ("HMC") Quality Assurance Department.

Audit closed loan files selected for review utilizing ACES loan auditing software. This includes but is not limited to:

    Possessing the knowledge and experience to verify that the underwriting decision is consistent with current regulations, investor and GSE guidelines, and HMC underwriting policies.
  • Identifying and delivering risk-based findings during the audit process to applicable parties in a timely manner.
  • Responding to and or clearing identified findings in a timely manner.
  • Completing required re-verifications in accordance with HMC's Quality Control Program.
  • Assisting the Compliance Manager and other compliance team members with assigned tasks as required.
  • Must be organized and able to work efficiently to meet deadlines with accurate results.

Requirements

Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience and must have knowledge in mortgage underwriting principles and Federal regulations pertaining to mortgage lending.

Experience requirement: Minimum 3 years experience in mortgage banking fields of processing or quality control or related field. Must have analytical problem solving skills. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation

* Base Salary: $55,000-65,000

* FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

* Bonus Type: Year-end Discretionary
