About the RoleThe Sr. Facilities Manager will take a holistic approach to managing all facilities, ensuring they function cohesively to support the mission and operations. This position will also be responsible for managing maintenance teams at all locations to ensure the standardization of facility support and infrastructure. This role requires a strategic thinking with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of facilities management within the space industry. The focus will be on developing and standardizing systems, creating & support the tools and processes the facilities and maintenance teams need to keep our buildings operating and safe.

Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of all facilities, including office spaces, laboratories, manufacturing areas, and other critical infrastructure. Develop and implement facilities management policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, safety, and security, to support the needs of the organization. Develop and manage the facilities budget, including forecasting and cost control. Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and other facilities-related services, determining strategy of site specific vs. national contracts. Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities to identify and address any issues or areas for improvement. Lead and mentor a team of facilities and maintenance professional, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance along with professional development. Prepare and present reports on facilities performance, including metrics on maintenance, safety, and cost efficiency to improve operational excellence. Focus on the standardization of systems and processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the facilities and maintenance teams. Create and support the tools and processes necessary for the facilities and maintenance teams to maintain building operations and safety Manage the maintenance teams, establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and response times to ensure timely and effective maintenance activities Standardize systems and processes across all facilities to ensure consistency and efficiency Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the facilities and maintenance team Serve as an escalation point and resource for facility maintenance problems or issues Lead and mentor facilities staff, coordinate workloads, and establish guidelines & expectations Ensure team members take ownership of responsibilities through managing team performance as we as identify training/development opportunities Establish reporting and metrics, setting the standards for how to prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting Being a partner for product center leadership
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Advance degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in the space industry or a related high-tech industry is highly desirable Strong knowledge of facilities management principles, practices, and regulations. Proven ability to manage large-scale facilities projects and budgets. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in facilities management software and tools. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous management experience; the ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence Identify and coordinate resources to ensure the required tools, processes, and training are available and effective Experience working with hand and power tools Ability to drive a forklift Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

Estimated Starting Salary Range:$138,634.92 - $190,623.01
