Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) is seeking a postdoctoral associate for a Laboratory Director's Postdoctoral Fellow position focused on real time observation of ion exchange resin and microfluidic design through spectroscopy. This postdoctoral appointment will emphasize the development and application of actinide separation chemistry to support SRNL's mission in national security (NNSA), environmental management (EM), and energy security. Specific work will involve utilizing a microfluidic flow cell to investigate ion exchange resin behavior in separation science. The work contains developing and scaling up related to traditional the ion exchange techniques. SRNL is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join the Nuclear Detection and Actinide Separations group beginning summer 2025. All SRNL postdoctoral research associate positions are fixed term assignments within the company and benefits eligible. The ideal candidate will be a self-starting and inquisitive researcher, eager to promote a collaborative and interdisciplinary research environment at the forefront of actinide separations technology. The researcher will collaborate with scientists and engineers across all three SRNL directorates, including material scientists, mechanical engineers, and experts in theoretical modeling and simulation. |
