Manual Machine Operator

Skilled machinist who sets up, operates and maintains automatic screw machines to produce precision parts.

• Installing and adjusting tools such as collets, bushings, cams, gears, and stops on the screw machine based on the part design and blueprint
• Feeding metal bar stock into the machine
• Monitoring machine functions, adjusting speeds and feeds, and ensuring proper machining cycles.
• Inspecting produced parts using precision measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances
• Identifying and resolving machine malfunctions or tooling issues
• Preforming routine cleaning and lubrication of the machine
• All other duties as assigned by Supervisor or lead designee

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experienced or on the job training in receiving procedures
