Position Highlights |
This position is responsible for coordinating activities and responsibilities of the AHEC Sponsoring Institution(SI)/Graduate Medical Education (GME) Consortium at the institutional and program levels. This position performs advanced administrative, coordination, and operational duties to support effective and efficient functions of the GME Office to achieve AHEC SI/GME Consortium's mission and goals related to education, training, and research.
The role requires extensive knowledge of graduate medical education, research administration, regulatory compliance, and institutional accreditation to facilitate program success. Duties & Responsibilities |
Program Coordination & Implementation
- Plans, schedules, monitors and coordinates activities related to the successful implementation of AHEC Sponsoring Institution(SI)/Graduate Medical Education (GME) Consortium.
- Serves as liaison to key stakeholders, including University personnel and external partners.
- Ensures adherence to ACGME regulations, institutional guidelines, and ethical research practices.
- Identifies potential risks related to accreditation, funding compliance, and program operations.
- Develops and delivers training sessions for faculty, staff, and residents on GME policies, accreditation standards, and research best practices.
- Communicates program updates, policy changes, and strategic initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
Records Management & Documentation
- Ensures the maintenance of excellent records of all GME activities, policies, and procedures to support accreditation and institutional compliance.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Reviews, prepares, and analyzes reports using Excel, Salesforce, and Word, among other software.
- Provides recommendations regarding operations at institutional and program level based on data analysis.
Projects & Event Coordination
- Coordinates the planning and support of special GME projects and events, such as New Resident and Fellow Orientation.

Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree in business, human relations or related field, or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of three years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Preferred minimum of three years of experience in medical education, research, management or a related area.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
