Technical Director

The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customersupport throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, andquality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutionsfor their most critical equipment and processes.

Oversees the development of strategic market/product line business plans and marketing programs to support sales in designated market segments; identifies volume and strategic customers; and develops partnerships. Analyzes market data to identify trends/opportunities, develops strategic direction from market information, and creates compelling market analysis presentations. May conduct make-versus-buy analysis from a partnership/merger/acquisition perspective.

  • Synergies associated with compound semiconductor integration
• Understand key roadmaps and technology inflections.
  • Including those of system integrators as well as device suppliers
• Define strategies to support future transition to foundry manufacturing models.
• Understand and engage with end customers to support strategic partnerships and Lam's sales approach.
  • Provide deep subject matter expertise that adds credibility to Lam's position in the segment
• Provide actionable VoC that informs Lam's technology roadmaps to ensure strong competitive position.
• Help identify opportunities for both organic and inorganic SAM expansion in emerging segments.

• Minimum of 15+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or 12+ years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 8+ years experience; or equivalent experience.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
