SUMMARY
The Associate Engineer is responsible for supporting tasks and projects driven by the Engineering Department. The Associate Engineer will also be involved in maintaining existing production processes and documentation. The Associate Engineer will meet the department objectives under direct supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review customer blueprints and specifications for manufacturing.
- Create CAD models, process drawings, fixtures, routers, BOM's, and any additional materials required for manufacturing.
- Utilize ERP/MRP system to define and control manufacturing processes.
- Support Engineering projects to evaluate and improve processes for existing product lines.
- Maintain the Engineering database and relevant documentation.
- Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings.
- Contribute manufacturing knowledge to developing and executing process validation efforts (IQ, OQ, PQ).
- Assist in investigating and resolving production issues on the manufacturing floor.
- Communicate statuses and updates with team for all assigned projects.
- Work with outside suppliers of equipment and tooling as required.
- Create SOP's and other supporting documentation.
- Perform special assignments as directed by supervision commensurate with experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of GD&T required.
- Willingness to work at a machine on the shop floor for an indeterminate period to gain additional machining knowledge if necessary.
- Must have sharp attention to detail skills.
- Must have good communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to change.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field with 0-2 years of experience (or an equivalent combination of education/experience).
