Facilities Associate: Become the Newest Member of Kontoor Brands

The facilities associate is a part of the overall facilities team. The role of the associate is to execute the systems owned while also flowing to the work needed for the day-to-day execution of the site facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Member of the Facilities Team on Key Projects and Priorities
  • Operation, Maintenance and Troubleshooting of the Electrical Systems associated with our buildings. This includes:

    Equipment Connections

    Outlets

    Lighting

    Switch Gear and Panels

    Outdoor Electrical Systems

  • Maintaining Records of Electrical Work completed within corporate buildings not associated with a project building permit.
  • Executing Inspections of Kontoor Electrical Systems

    Switch Gear

    Arc Flash

    Thermal Monitoring

  • Working with and managing contractors on electrical work not managed by a General Contractor.
  • Execute the prioritized work as assigned
  • Problem Solving of issues when needed
  • Planning and development of plans to execute work that fits the customers schedule
  • Flexibility in work timing to ensure work is done that minimizes impact to the customers work environment.
  • System ownership / development of one of the facilities core competencies
  • Develop knowledge of all facilities systems
  • Manage Daily items as assigned
  • Work with contractors on projects and repairs

  • Electrical skills preferred includes:
    • Low Voltage Work
    • Electrical Construction Knowledge
    • Knowledge of Electrical Code and Electrical Programs
    • Develop and Maintain Lock out Tag out programs with all equipment the Associate is responsible for.
  • Mechanical skills preferred includes:
    • Power and Hand Tool knowledge and use
    • Disassembly and Reassembly of equipment (pumps/fans, ETC)
    • Pipe Cutting and Threading
    • Brazing/Soldering skills not required but would be utilized
    • Carpentry skills not required but would be utilized
  • Computer skills required includes being able to work in MS Office utilizing word, excel, power point and outlook.
    • CAD Skills are not required
    • Ability to learn the Kontoor work systems
  • Forklift qualified - preferred
  • Self-Starter
  • Attention to detail

Experience/Education:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 2+ Years

Educational/ Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

  • Works well in a team environment
  • Able to interact with others in a way that allows the customer to understand that they are the reason we exist.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willing to work overtime/weekends as needed
  • Drivers License and able to operate company Vehicles

Travel Requirements

  • Minimal Travel for training. Less than 5% of the time.

Vehicle

  • Use of company van to move and deliver items
