STATIONARY ENGINEER-WAKEFIELD

Job overview:

Under general supervision; performs the operation and maintenance of boilers and related power plant equipment such as steam engines, air compressors and engines to provide steam, electric power and auxiliary services.

Inspects and performs maintenance & repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration equipment, boilers and engines.

Performs related duties as required.

Required:

• High School/GED.
• Completion of a trade apprenticeship program.
• Five years of work experience as a Stationary Engineer.
• Possession of a valid NYC Stationary Engineer's license and refrigeration license.
• Must also possess the following FDNY Certificate Fitness:
• S-12 Citywide Sprinkler Systems.
• S-13 Citywide Standpipe System.
• G71 Supervision of Piped Non-Flammable Medical Gases.
• G60 Torch Use of Flammable Gases.
• F60 Fire Guard for Torch Operations & Const. Site.
• S95 Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems and Other Related Systems.
• P99 Con Low PSI Oil Burn.
