Facilities Manager

The Facilities Manager will be the single point of contact responsible for facilities management, assisting the Director of Facilities, Regional Facilities Manager, Director of Engineering, Chief Engineers, and site team with the delivery of quality facility management services. This role will coordinate and manage client requirements and service delivery to ensure satisfaction. This position reports to the Regional Facilities Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Regional Manager in the implementation of all full-service components of first class facilities management, specifically addressing the client scope of work per the contract
  • Develop and implement innovative programs, processes and procedures that reduce short and long term operating costs and increase productivity by working closely with the Regional Facility Manager, Engineers and the client.
  • Oversee the appropriate monthly/quarterly/annual required activities and subsequent reporting
  • Oversee the development and management of the expense budgets by interfacing closely with the client/agency representative and internal leadership
  • Effectively lead, manage, support and assist in training site facility team.
  • Support the Regional Facility Manager, Lead Engineer in the implementation of short and long-term projects for the client project based on participating addendum and contract.
  • Develop monthly/quarterly variance reporting on all operating budgets for each property on a timely basis. Effectively manage the annual budget, baseline adjustments and finance components related to specific client portfolio.
  • Assist with the development and implement the annual management plan and budget adjustments for the buildings within the client portfolio
  • Must have excellent client service mindset. Ability to work effectively with customers and team with varied personalities and communication styles. Actively listen, comprehend, analyze, and interpret business documents and discussions.
  • Identify the maintenance objectives of the facility and incorporate those objectives into a documented plan that includes preventive, corrective and reliability maintenance procedures.
  • Participate as required in any other projects assigned.

  • Strong Finance and budget skills
  • Working knowledge to maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds as it pertains to assigned buildings
  • Perform assigned facility inspections, vendor work and due diligence efforts, reporting on, as found, conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
  • Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
  • Must be willing and able to support possible after hours building related activity as required.
  • Responsible for obtaining and maintaining Full compliance to the JLL Operational Compliance Program.
  • Responsible for assisting Client with overview of capital projects on site.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, mostly Outlook, Word, TEAMS and Excel. Must have the ability to use a computer and smartphone and navigate multiple email accounts
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills
  • Computer proficiency in CMMS (Corrigo, a plus)
  • Matrix manage both technical and administrative staff
  • Oversee multiple facilities within vicinity of central campus - includes travel.
  • Supervise vendor performance during normal and off hours including weekends when necessary

Education/Training/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Facilities Management with management/technical emphasis (HVAC, Plumbing, Electric)
  • Minimum 8 years industry experience required
  • Faithfully adhere to JLL's Health, Safety, and Environment policies and procedures including the "Cardinal Rules of Safety".
